The Africa Creative Economy Lens (ACEL) is an annual platform that brings together creators, policymakers, investors, and ecosystem enablers to shape the future of Africa’s creative industries.
The 2025 edition was held in Kigali under the theme “Investing in Africa’s Creative Potential for Sustainable Growth,” where stakeholders co-created solutions to strengthen the sector’s sustainability.

Understanding what this process truly entails and raising awareness of how cultural and creative industries can be effectively integrated into various programmes and policies are critical steps. This integration must prioritize the intrinsic growth of the cultural and creative sectors while driving tangible outcomes in other sectors and development areas.
